Work Biography: Dr. Wu received his B.S. degree in chemistry and M.S.degree in inorganic chemistry from Liaoning University in 2004 and 2007, respectively, and Ph.D. degree in materials science from Institute of Metal Research (IMR), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) in 2011. Then he worked as a postdoctor at Max-Planck Institute for Polymer Research in Germany from 2011 to 2015. Since June 2015, he joined DICP, CAS, and became a full Professor and group leader of 2D Materials & Energy Devices (DNL21T3). In January 2018, he was promoted to be a DICP Chair Professor, and in June 2020 become a formal Group leader of 2D Materials Chemistry & Energy Applications, affiliated with State Key Laboratory of Catalysis (SKLC). His current scientific interests include the chemistry of graphene and two-dimensional materials, surface and nano-electrochemistry, and advanced nanomaterials for energy and environmental applications, including supercapacitors (e.g., electric double-layer capacitors, pseudocapacitors, lithium ion capacitors, asymmetric supercapacitors, hybrid supercapacitors), micro-supercapacitors, integrated micro-supercapacitors, planar supercapacitors, lithium ion batteries, Li-S/O2 batteries, Na/K/Al based batteries, all-solid-state batteries, flexible/microscacle and stretchable energy storage devices, and catalysis (e.g., ORR, OER, HER, CO2 reduction). He has published 300+ peer-reviewed papers (IF>10, 200+ papers) in Nature,Energy Environ. Sci. (12), Adv. Mater. (17), J. Am. Chem. Soc. (8), Nat. Commun. (5), Adv.Energy Mater.(17), ACS Nano (20), Adv. Funct. Mater.(17), Angew. Chem. Int. Ed. (6), Nano Energy (9), Energy Storage Mater.(19), Natl Sci. Rev.(5), ACS Energy Lett.(3), Adv. Sci. (2)，Chem，ACS Catalysis, Electrochem. Energy Rev.(2), J.Energy Chem.(19), Sci.Bull.(4) etc., which have been cited more than 37000 times with Web of Science (> 45000 times by Google Scholar), H-index = 83. 50+ papers are currently ESI "Highly Cited Paper". There are 20 papers that have each been cited >300 times, as well as 12 papers with each individually cited >1000 times. And the highest cited paper has a citation of 2289 times, selected as "Top 10 Highly-Cited Paper in China" over the past ten years (2006-2016). He is the 2018,2019,2020,2021,2022 and 2023 Highly Cited Researcher (Clarivate Analytics). Additionally, he has authored 2 book chapters, 50+ CN and EU patents, and presented more than 100+ Plenary, Keynote, Invited, and Oral talks.
